Over the past week, we’ve spoken with dozens of firms who are reliant on server-based practice management solutions. Many are grappling with how to best navigate these uncertain times. How can they serve their clients while keeping employees safe when they are tethered to legacy systems for matter-related data? Remote work just isn’t an option.
We know this pandemic will last at least a few weeks, but it may ultimately span months. Without the option for remote work, we know firms, and clients, will suffer tremendous losses. We want to help.
We built CARET Legal, an end-to-end legal practice management solution, as a completely cloud-based platform for a number of reasons — increased security, greater collaboration and a reduced reliance on large (costly) on-premise servers. Today, we’re most grateful for the accessibility it affords our clients and our employees.
Over the past few days, our leadership team has had many conversations around what we can do to help more firms, even those who aren’t yet using CARET Legal. Of course, the challenge is data. How can we provide firms with immediate access (and ultimately value) and give them the right technology to manage their cases from the safety of their homes?
Today, we’re pleased to share some of the ways we hope to help facilitate remote work for more practices:
We’re offering free extended CARET Legal trials with free core data migration (which includes contacts, calendar, and high-level matter information). With a trial, firms have complete access to all of our case management tools. If your firm would like to try out CARET Legal or extend your trial, just let us know. We’ve got you covered.
We’re working with our network of law firm consultants to perform thorough and highly accurate migrations to CARET Legal from several on-premise applications on an expedited basis. Supported legacy applications include: PCLaw, ProLaw, Time Matters and Timeslips. Our team is working around the clock to help get firms up and running within just a few days.
We’re offering free remote training for all firms. Getting started with a new legal practice management software can seem overwhelming. Our team is available for remote training with all employees, so new CARET Legal users can hit the ground running.
If you’re exploring remote technology options and want to learn more about CARET Legal, schedule a demo (we have same-day appointments available).
If there are other ways we can help your practice during the difficult weeks ahead, please do not hesitate to contact our team. We are fully staffed and ready to help. Together, we’ll get through this.
